Peter Urio

You may know Peter Urio as an artist, teacher or maker of spices. He is also a philosopher and storyteller. When the Spokane African American Voice was publishing in print, Peter wrote us Tanzanian parables and sayings in Swahili and then translated and explained them.

Now you can watch Peter tell stories – The Amazing Life and Stories of Peter Urio – on his blog. His son Tate created the blog and filmed his father telling stories of growing up, coming to America, and other experiences. Peter also tells us Tanzanian fables. Follow the link below to hear the entertaining words of “an unusual man”.
