Ira Gardner Jr.


Spokane Falls Community College

Ira Gardner has worked full time as a professional photographer since 1989 and was nationally certified as a commercial photographer by the Professional Photographers of America in 1995.

He has taught photography, multimedia, and documentary video production at Spokane Falls Community College since 1997 and served as chair of the Applied Visual Arts department eight years.

Ira studied photography and liberal arts at Spokane Falls Community College. He also studied Communications and Journalism at Eastern Washington University and has gone on to graduate studies in media theory and filmmaking at the New School University in New York.

Ira has served on the board of directors for the Professional Photographers of Washington and is a past president of Spokane Camera Club.

Recently Ira has placed greater emphasis on Fine Art Landscape Photography and Commissioned Portraiture and has over 20 years of work to draw upon.
